Created by designers Sandra Higashi and Byron Glaser, this 55-piece '“playsculpture” set first made its debut in 1986 at the MoMA. With its mix of organic and geometric forms, Zolo offered open-ended, gender-neutral play and appealing both to children and adults. Later iterations were made of plastic, but this original version is hand-carved and hand-painted.
