“A Shufflebook” by Richard Hefter and Martin Stephen Moskof, 1970

A set of fifty-two double-sided cards, published by Golden Press for the Museum of Modern Art in 1970, designed to be shuffled and recombined into oddball, hilarious narratives. The colorful images are highly abstracted, broadening a child’s developing visual vocabulary.

Condition: Very good, some wear to box

Richard Hefter (1941–2011) was an American illustrator and children’s author who built his career on visually inventive educational books and formats. Martin Stephen Moskof (1930 - 2012) was a prolific book designer who also collaborated with Seymour Chwast.
