Designed by Lucia Pearce for Looart Press in 1968, the poster is part of a series of inspirational prints issued by the Colorado firm at the height of hippiedom, pairing modernist color graphics with quotes from thinkers such as Teilhard de Chardin and Richard Buckminster Fuller.

Lucia Capacchione Pearce (1937–2022) was an Italian-American psychologist and art therapist who studied art with Sister Corita Kent and worked in Charles and Ray Eames’ office. As a Montessori-trained child development specialist, she also served as one of the nation's first Head Start directors.
