A geometric educational toy produced by Creative Playthings in the late 1960s, Rainbow Box is a clear outer cube containing a tetrahedron in primary colors. As the cube is turned and viewed from different angles, the primary colours cleverly converge and blend into the secondary colours of the spectrum. Designed by sculptor Clement Meadmore, the piece teaches geometric relationships and color theory through motion and form.
Condition: Good, some wear to box
Clement Meadmore (1929–2005) was an Australian-American sculptor known for large-scale steel sculptures He carried his interest in minimal geometry into furniture and lighting design; Rainbow Box was his sole venture into toy design.
